ON THE STAGE SERIES: DANA LOUISE AND THE GLORIOUS BIRDS
March 23rd Thursday 7:30PM

Dana Louise, at the time a visual artist, began to teach herself guitar during a solo journey to the Azores Islands, and while experimenting among the lava rocks and dragon trees, she forged the roots of her sound. Returning to the states she began signing and songwriting professionally. Today she is touring her debut album with Trout Records alongside the band the Glorious Birds. Taking inspiration from jazz and bluegrass, her modern folk maintains a contemporary beat, elevated by her clear and vibrant vocals. The result is almost ethereal; and yet she invites one to join along with her disarming smile and relaxed style. You’ll quickly find yourself clapping your hands, swaying back and forth, entirely connected to the musician and her melodic journey. Purchase tickets on the Berkshire Theatre Group’s website or visit the Ticket Office. $30
